Jaiprakash Power Ven posts Q4 net profit of Rs 252.84 cr

The company reported standalone net profit during the quarter stood at Rs 252.84 crore compared to net loss of Rs 41.39 crore in the previous year quarter.
Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 9.78 per cent at Rs 1,514.83 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 1,379.88 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses dropped by 31.98 per cent to Rs 787.99 crore from Rs 1,158.50 crore in year ago period.
Other Income grew by 6286.45 per cent at Rs 348.70 crore versus (Mar'23 Rs 5.46 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 228.32 per cent to Rs 726.84 crore as against Rs 221.38 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 199.13 per cent in March quarter.
Interest declined by 20.66 per cent y-o-y to Rs 108.62 crore, while Taxation decreased by 343.67 per cent at Rs -40.62 crore (Mar'23 Rs 16.67 crore).
